I bought a 1988 R80rt with low miles but certainly no showpiece. Although it runs out really nice, there were no available service records. The guy who sold it to me pointed out a '1.0' stamping on the cylinder next to the block. He said that this indicated that the bike had undergone a 'big-bore' conversion to 1000 cc's.
'Cool', I thought... I had been happy enough getting the R80... If he's right, I'm even happier.
Any thoughts as to what '1.0' on the cylinder would designate?

Thanks in advance
