Hello, and I hope the accompanied images are useful, size-compatible, and posted to an appropriate forum topic venue;
if not, please so advise by message, and future postings will be so directed.
The bike has 16K original miles, from the second owner, externally without modifications, and from what little I have learned
of this model, is a Lufthansa airline pilot center(Bremen, Austria at that time) promotional "commemorative", with 200
issued to the UK, another(perhaps) to Germany, etc.
I cannot yet confirm the three stripes as a mimic to the pilot center exterior building decor, although a greyscale image suggests it
might be. The polished front forks are apparently unusual; statements elsewhere that credit polish to the rocker box covers appear
to be contradicted by my example, as well as in the final image, another example, taken several years back. I hesitate to initiate a quest
for NOS striping kits for this bike, and if I restore it(doesn't need it now, as it is in fine shape), probably those would require paint replication
as the simplest solution.
I did this post after noting a technical or story archive request from several years ago, regarding the bike, and no gallery image support. If
the webmaster will instruct, I would post these there, also, as regardless of the equivocal data regarding how many, etc., the bike is decidedly unusual.
The below is not mine, to be redundant of earlier text; I think everyone seeing the above will be aware of my choice of jacket to bike, but I plead
guilty with an explanation!!....there were only four color versions, and one appeared to be perfect!! Again, hope someone enjoys this, and apology if misdirected on forum. Paavo
